Body Oriented Coaching
‘’So much of our wisdom is held within our bodies, but we don’t always have the space or the confidence to hear it.
Body-oriented coaching is a gentle and supportive process that allows you to explore what feels present for you, in a holistic and compassionate way’’

Why invest in Body Oriented Coaching?

People come to my coaching sessions for all sorts of reasons. You might have a specific topic you want to explore in a more embodied way, within a supportive and non-judgemental space.

You may have some important decisions to make, or you may be experiencing burnout. You may simply feel you'd like to have space held for whatever wants to arise, for you to connect with the wisdom of your body and unpick current thinking patterns.

Stress, anxiety, grief, limited self-beliefs, lack of self-worth, feeling ‘stuck’, pain, illness, overthinking, living in your head, feeling disconnected from your body, numb, wanting to change, wanting to take better care of yourself etc. are all valid reasons for giving yourself the gift of somatic coaching.

It can be really empowering to learn new ways of having a relationship with yourself and your body based on compassion and love.

Many of us have never learnt how to love and accept ourselves unconditionally. Many of us grew up in homes where being ourselves wasn’t accepted or safe. We became products of our circumstances. Shells with walls around our hearts to keep us safe. Sadly, those walls are also separating us from our true potential, creativity, joy and happiness.

Many of us wake up in our 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, not knowing who they are and what they want. We feel that something is always missing in our lives, and we can’t feel satisfied no matter what we have.

Body oriented coaching can help us to reconnect to our authentic selves, needs and wants and rediscover what makes our souls sing.

A change of attitude toward self can be an amazing first step into wellness and a fulfilling life. Having a compassionate dialog with our emotions can bring deep relief. Connecting to all that wants to come up, giving it time and space is like finally coming back ‘home’. Reconnecting to our wholeness.
What does body oriented coaching look like?

‘’I sat with my grief long enough until she told me her real name was grief’’ C. S. Lewis

The sessions are me holding space for you to explore whatever comes up or what is alive in you, in a gentle and supportive way.

You are the expert on your life journey, and I am there as your ‘co-thinker’ to guide us along a path of exploration. Sessions are client-led, non-directive and non-judgemental. Anything is welcome.

We focus on the present moment and the future. Within the sessions there is the potential for me to offer an invitation to use the power of silence or gentle 'experiments' to invite the wisdom of the body, as we recognise that the body and mind aren’t separate.

It can be very powerful to explore topics from a holistic and embodied approach.

Body-Oriented Coaching draws on a range of process-oriented ways of working including Focusing, Hakomi, Constellations, Organic Intelligence, Interpersonal Neurobiology and the perennial knowledge of the Wisdom Traditions.
